Gyeongsangbuk-do is strengthening its livestock competitiveness, focusing on the development of the Korean cattle standard model for high-quality beef. On the other hand, it is rearing its forest area as an income resource. Forests take up 1,347 ha or 71% of the total land area of Gyeongsangbuk-do (65% of the national land area).
