As a result of the Mayor of Gumis direct investment promotion activities at home and abroad for attracting not only local large companies, but also Japanese companies to the Gumi Exclusive Complex for Parts and Materials Industries, the large-scale Japanese Business Mission composed of 50 members visited Gumi on April 15 and saw Gumis investment environment with their own eyes. The visit was aired throughout Japan on NHK.
The PR campaigns for investment attraction by Mayor Nam Yoo Chin created enough buzz to encourage President Lee Myung-Bak to visit the Gumi Promotion Booth in person during IMAC 2009 held in KINTEX, Goyang, on April 16. The President said Gumi is the most popular area and that Gumi is doing the best job.
Gumi City will specially manage Japanese company buyers to induce their 2nd and 3rd visits and to attract large-scale investment in Gumi through maintaining relations, based on the ination of Japanese parts & materials companies collected so far. In this way, Gumi City will do its best to change the map of the Gumi Industrial Complex.
