- Enhancing Investment Promotion Strategies, Sharing Key Issues, and Strengthening Networking Between Provinces and Municipalities
Gyeongsangbuk-do Province (Governor Lee Cheol-woo) held the “2025 Gyeongsangbuk-do Investment Promotion Officials Workshop” on March 13, Thursday, at the Stanford Hotel Andong.
The workshop was organized to establish tailored investment promotion strategies for Gyeongsangbuk-do, enhance the job competencies of investment promotion officials, and strengthen cooperation.
A total of 80 participants, including the head of the Gyeongsangbuk-do ision of Investment Promotion and investment promotion directors from various cities and counties, attended the event and engaged in in-depth discussions on Gyeongsangbuk-do’s investment promotion strategies. Additionally, they had the opportunity to share insights on the latest industry trends, including “Local Investment by Semiconductor Manufacturers,” “Relocation Demand for IT and E-Commerce Businesses,” and “Trends in the Lithium-Ion Battery Market,” as well as marketing strategy ideas essential for investment promotion through expert lectures.
During the event, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province emphasized the need for strong collaboration among cities and counties to revitalize investment within the province. The province also urged active cooperation to ensure the successful hosting of the APEC 2025 Korea in Gyeongju City.
Lee Nam-eok, Director of the New Consolidated Airport Investment Office of Gyeongsangbuk-do, mentioned, “For the development of Gyeongsangbuk-do, a joint investment promotion strategy and organic cooperation between the provincial and municipal governments are essential.” He added, “We hope this workshop provides practical benefits to public officials in charge of investment promotion in Gyeongsangbuk-do,” and stated, “We will continue to establish a unified investment promotion system through ongoing communication with city and county governments, ensuring active investment in the region.”
